Miniatures of Waste

This series is part of my 'Human vs Nature' project. I made a painting of a coot's nest filled with litter and I began with the reconstruction in 3D (on a scale of 1:8) of the nest to visualize the waste all around. 

I didn't copy the nest exactly, some objects were impossible to trace, so I followed a free interpretation. What started as a fun experiment grew into a small collection of miniatures, which form the basis for a new scene.
